"Intermission" (screening clip compressed for web), size variable, two channel 3D animation, amplified projection fans, 2009
"Intermission" is a double sided projection involving an animation of a proscenium stage. On one side of the projection is a view from the performer from the stage. On the other is a view from the audience's perspective. The projection screen would be suspended in mid-air within a dark space and the sounds of the projector fans would be amplified by microphones in real time. The spectator can walk around the piece viewing the projection from either the performer's or the audience's perspective. This project began on the intent of physically manifesting the 'fourth wall' (the invisible barrier between the performer and the spectator).
